About STROyKA

STROyKA Theatre, Inc.'s Mission Statement:

To encourage members of the suburban communities in the surrounding counties to become an active part of the Downtown DC Theatre Scene by training novice performers and crew members to work alongside experienced professionals in order to produce high-quality productions that appeal to a wide variety of audiences.

Organizational Goals:

To produce three high-quality productions per theatre season (calendar year), which exemplify the STROyKA commitment to training new and novice performers and crew members and appealing to a wide variety of audiences.
To continue to build a core group of performers and technical professionals by recruiting and training interested members of the community regardless of previous experience.
To fulfill the needs of theatergoers inside Washington DC and the surrounding Metro area by offering professional-quality theater at an affordable cost.
To develop and implement an educational program that exposes young people to all that the craft of theatre has to offer.
To create opportunities to cast community members of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
To develop and implement internships and apprenticeships to train new and interested performers, directors, and crew members.
